Proudly Contributing To The Safety Of A New Childcare Centre
The $4-million Eden Academy construction project, which was completed by building company Chapcon for property company Griffith late in 2022, has resulted in a beautiful and eye-catching two-storey childcare centre ‒ one which has become a welcome and noteworthy architectural addition to the Palm Beach area of the Gold Coast.
We at Aluminium Balustrades are proud to have been part of this beautiful project.
The new early learning centre at 19th Avenue, Palm Beach, boasts 105 places over a 1530m² site area. The centre also features plenty of natural light and manicured gardens for children to play in and interact with, with the aim being to boost their overall well-being by being in close contact with nature. This is especially welcomed in the city.
The Importance Of Safety In Childcare Centres
We all know when it comes to building childcare centres, safety is the number one priority. The railings and balustrades need to take into consideration specific guidelines and parameters to keep children safe and secure.
Our experienced team have worked within the childcare and education industry extensively. And we are familiar with the regulations and requirements to ensure all our work is up to specification, including necessary safety features essential to childcare facilities.
This means that all welding, cutting and attaching needs to be done with immaculate precision and attention to detail so that no sharp edges or any other hazardous aspects remain when complete. The client needed to find contractors capable of delivering the highest quality work to ensure that the project was completed to the required standards.
How Aluminium Balustrades Contributed
We at Aluminium Balustrades pride ourselves on being able to deliver such high-quality workmanship. This is why we were approached to contribute a series of railings and balustrades to help ensure the safety of the children at the early learning centre.
The work that we contributed to this state of the art facility included ramp grab rails and kick rails, double stair grab rails, screening, gates and balustrades.
The balustrades chosen by the client were vertical balustrades styled after white picket fencing but with flat tops rather than pointed ones, with the screening also resembling this style but with thinner slats spaced more closely together.
The look added to the aesthetic of the centre, creating a soft and inviting look that evokes feelings of openness.
