For the past 30 years, Aluminium Balustrades has been operating alongside Southport Powder Coating to provide first class powder coating services for our projects. As SPC is an in-house company that is located in the same premises as Aluminium Balustrades, we are able to provide efficient powder coating services and quick turnaround times which are often required in the construction industry.
We are pleased to announce that the powder coating plant has recently received upgrades allowing our services to stay above industry standard and continue to offer the best quality powder coating finishes to our clients.

Powder Coating is a long lasting finish that can be applied to any metal product which has many benefits over liquid coatings. In addition to a more durable and attractive finish, powder coating is also solvent free and does not produce harmful vapours, fumes, or gases, which makes it an environmentally friendly alternative for finishes. It is scratch and chip resistant, easy to maintain, and is immediately dry after the curing process in the oven.
Commercial buildings that are four stories or higher all require warranty power coat applications to comply with industry code AS3715. Aluminium Balustrades’ powder coating finishes are all performed in-house by Southport Powder Coating, an accredited applicator of both Dulux and Interpon – the largest global manufacturer of powder coatings and a global leader in powder coatings technology.
SPC provides an all-round service to Aluminium Balustrades as well as other fabricators in the industry. Southport Powder Coating services include pre-treatment and power coating offering hundreds of warranty colours in addition to standard colours available for selection to suit powder coating needs of any fabricator. SPC’s pre-treatment tanks are some of the largest in the industry allowing for the flexibility of pre-treating a variety of unusual shapes and sizes that are commonly seen in the construction industry.
In order to attain the highest quality of finishes that meet stringent quality standards, we also em-ploy the services of Henkel – an independent chemical company, to carry out the audit of acid, chromate, and water quality on a fortnightly basis which are maintained in our records.
