What’s New: 272 Hedges Avenue
Get ready for a shiny new high rise to decorate Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast, Australia. Appointed by Australia’s leading property developer, Sunland Group, a winning collaboration with Contreras Earl Architecture, Aluminium Balustrades and others was formed. These top contributors in their respective fields have come together to create a real beauty. Aluminium Balustrades will be partnering with Hutchison Builders to contribute to this iconic building.
272 Hedges Avenue
An important marker in the urban landscape, this high-rise building is a gorgeous architectural feat by anyone’s standards. Aside from the attractiveness of the structure, it has also managed to transform the low-rise precinct of Mermaid Beach to the high-rise nature similar to that of Broadbeach.
There are 44 stories that rise above the stunning Gold Coast. Within this structure lies 97 apartments that contain between two and four bedrooms apiece.
Inspired by natural forces, the ‘Hedges Pedestal’ is a well thought out design, from its location on the coast to all the materials within the structure that work so well together. The structure reflects the effect that sand and wind have within nature by displaying a subtle curvature that is semi-reflective to resemble the erosion and crests effect. This allusion of a naturally eroded cave is both stunning and effective if we do say so ourselves.
Our Contribution
Forming part of the dream team is Aluminium Balustrades. Our contribution to the project has been varied but it mostly surrounds what we’re good at. Working closely with these Aussie legends has been an honour and we are proud to have our name attached to such an aesthetically pleasing and high functioning project.
