The Project
Indooroopilly Golf Club is a well-known Brisbane sporting and hospitality venue, with spaces used by members, guests, staff and visitors throughout the week. For this stage of works, the focus was on providing high-quality stainless steel rails, frameless glass balustrades and aluminium balustrade systems across key access points, ramps, stairs and outdoor areas.
Aluminium Balustrades completed a substantial scope of works, including 152 lineal metres of stainless steel stair and ramp rail, core drilled and installed to meet AS 1428.1 accessibility requirements.
The Work We Did
The stainless steel stair and ramp rails were installed throughout the access paths and entry areas to provide secure, practical support for members and guests moving around the club. These rails offer a clean, polished finish while standing up to regular use in a high-traffic environment.
Our team also supplied and installed 37 lineal metres of frameless glass using 13.52 toughened laminated glass with SGP interlayer, fitted on flat bar posts with a stainless steel grab rail attached. This solution provided the required safety and support while maintaining clear views across the landscaped outdoor areas.
A further 85 lineal metres of frameless glass was installed using the same 13.52 toughened laminated glass with SGP interlayer. This allowed the surrounding course and greenery to remain part of the experience while creating a safe and refined edge to elevated areas.
Aluminium Balustrades also supplied and installed powder coated aluminium balustrades with grab rails, adding another practical and durable finish to the project. These balustrades were designed to work with the wider architectural palette while providing long-term performance.
