The Project
The Mount View project, located in the Gold Coast hinterland, was no exception. This large-scale private residence is a marvel to behold, having been designed by renowned architects Clark & Granger (C&G). It incorporates classic farm-style aspects in a meticulously realised modern architectural style, featuring a mixture of wood, glass and stone to evoke a meeting of worlds both old and new.
The house is built on an 80-acre property that features its private equestrian centre and beautiful gardens. Its three storeys are navigable through the inclusion of two lifts. This six-bedroom house also features a private cinema, as well as a large and airy atrium-style living room that evokes the stylistic trappings of an old English barn thanks to the inclusion of raw and hand-crafted blackbutt timber ‒ native to Australia ‒ as a feature.
Our Contribution
The client approached us to install a range of our products in the house to give it a polished and elegant finish. Our specialised frameless glass pool fence was installed along the patio area to cordon off the luxurious infinity swimming pool and spa. Simultaneously providing an aesthetically pleasing and safe barrier. The frameless glass pool fence and balustrades were a great choice for this application, providing safety & allowing the maximum use of the space without detracting from the gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside.
All the balustrades have a polished stainless steel nano top rail fitted to the glass which complies with the Australian Standards and National Construction Codes.
In addition to the frameless glass balustrades & pool fence we were also asked to provide a number of custom made powder coated aluminium products for the project.
These included service area louvre panels, batten screening & gates, pump enclosure, entry feature panels and electric sliding gates.
The service area louvres enclose the air con units, hot water systems & pool equipment. Screening them from view & protecting them from the elements without restricting ventilation to the equipment. The powder coat colour was carefully selected to blend with the surrounding walls, reducing the visual impact of the screens as much as possible.
The batten screening & gates turned some unused areas into functional storage space.
Security was enhanced with the addition of electric sliding gates coupled with feature panels to create a bold entry to this majestic property.
